@_@ Timeless. Here you could believe gods and spirits still dwell, it is so hard to find that feeling in the US.

Our holy sites seem to be modernized to the point where they retain little of their meaning (they are putting one of those horrible "gateway churches" on 114 in Southlake) but even when these shrines are modernized, they retain so much.

yeah, i definitely agree. it's really hard to feel like you're in the presence of anything special in the us unless you're in some ancient national park or something. japan was really eye-opening when it came to holy places
